What we’re about

GM Collective is a small creative studio in Sydney’s Inner West where big things happen. It’s founded by me, Matt Caulfield – a dad (maybe a daggy one), Star Wars nerd, and designer and creative director of 20 years. In my career, I’ve plumped out an extensive portfolio in the content and advertising industries, honing my chops in print, video and digital media. I’ve won a few creative awards along the way, too (just quietly).

I’m lucky to lead a whip-smart collective of talented professionals – from designers, copywriters, videographers, photographers to marketers. For each project, I assemble from this hardworking crew a pro squad to conquer your individual mission, tailoring the right people to fit your unique project.

Listening close before leaping in, GM Collective takes on a bunch of different challenges. We develop schmick new brands and refresh tired ones. We’re masters at on-point copy and original website makeovers. Need a corporate video put together fast? A snazzy infographic made? We got you. Design

Look good, feel good, get more business from your buck. At GM Collective, we create beautiful, on-brand designs for online and offline worlds – brochures and digital elements, signage and stationery. We embrace major projects, small jobs and anything in-between, providing creative solutions to get your message across clearly, while adhering to your brand identity, budget and timeframe. The upshot? Lasting value for your business, products and audience.

Branding

Like the wingman of your marketing dreams, we’ll help your business launch, grow and consolidate meaningful and productive relationships. We’ll matchmake you to your ideal clients, give you advice on how to reach them, and help you figure out your niche. From there, we’ll collaborate with you to write the story behind your company, so that customer interactions are more than just casual flings.

Digital

It’s no millennial myth: online presence is everything. If you want to milk your marketing potential like a champion dairymaid, a professional and accessible website is vital. With a knack for behavioural psychology and plenty of degrees between us, the GM crew can build a website from scratch, overhaul it, rejig it, or just create a really gorgeous button set. Backend or frontend, big or small, the stuff you click on or the stuff you eyeball – we’re here to make sure new and old users love your digital identity just as much as Billy Elliot loves to boogie.

PROJECT IN FOCUS

Brief: Design a supplement which will be an essential guide to help directors to deliver digital transformation. A partnership between Company Director and Microsoft.

Using Company Director’s look and feel as a reference, we used multiple graphic elements throughout in a consistent manner to create clear visual navigation and hierarchy of information. Illustration themes are pretty abstract, Using a geometric/abstract approach, not too figurative/direct illustrations. This approach complements the content, goes hand to hand with the supplements theme of going digital and Microsoft brand.
